The Exchange Club of Rome was chartered in 1936 and is still going strong today serving the community through many service projects including child abuse prevention. Upon joining, our members automatically become members of the Coosa Valley Fair Association which is responsible for bringing the fair to our area each year. Exchange Club members are instrumental in running the fair. In 1991, through collaboration with public and private agencies, government, schools, courts, law enforcement, medical personnel and the community, the Exchange Club Family Resource Center was opened. The Family Resource Center provides education and support services to families in Floyd and surrounding counties and seeks to prevent child abuse and neglect. We are also the local contact agency for Toys for Tots, helping provide a brighter Christmas season for hundreds of families in a tri-county area.. Our Mission: Exchange members are a group of men and women working to make America a better place to live through one national project, Prevention of Child Abuse, and other community service projects.
